Copper down marginally on global cues

November contract falls 0.13%

Copper prices declined marginally by 0.13% to Rs 432.05 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions on weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November declined by 55 paise, or 0.13%, to Rs 432.05 per kg, with a business turnover of 14,373 lots.

February copper traded lower by 55 paise, or 0.12%, to Rs 442.60 per kg in 1,129 lots.

Marketmen said speculators offloaded positions in tandem with a weak global trend.

Meanwhile, copper dropped almost 0.1% to $8,159.50 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
