Copper falls on lower global trend

Copper prices weakened by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced industrial demand, amid weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Fall in demand at existing higher levels amid weakening trend in all the base metals at the LME, mainly kept pressure on the metals in the national capital.

Meanwhile, copper fell 1.1 per cent to Z$9,426.50 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap,copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down Rs 2 each at Rs 483, Rs 506 and Rs 467 per kg, respectively.

Lead ingot 134, lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 102, sheet cutting 105, aluminium wire scrap 102 and aluminium utensils scrap 102
