Copper futures prices fell marginally by 0.13 per cent today, extending yesterday's losses, as speculators reduced their positions on the back of weakening global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June eased by 55 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 437.75 per kg, with a business volume of 260 lots.
It had ended 1.4 per cent lower at Rs 438.30 per kg in the previous session.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April shed 40 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 432.20 per kg, with a trade volume of 5,402 lots.
Market analysts said offloading by speculators, triggered by a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange and Shanghai, mainly led to the decline in copper futures prices here.
