Copper futures prices traded marginally higher by 0.09% to Rs 438.20 per kg today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by a mild demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November edged up by 40 paise, or 0.09%, to Rs 438.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 611 lots.

November copper traded higher by 25 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 432.15 per kg, with a trade volume of 7,991 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on mild demand in the spot market helped copper futures prices to trade marginally higher.
