Copper marginally up as demand picks up

The February contract inched up by 35 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 440.75 per kg in 1,470 lots

Copper prices traded marginally higher at Rs 435.35 per kg in futures trade today on pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the November contract for copper traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.14%, to Rs 435.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 34,028 lots.

The February contract inched up by 35 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 440.75 per kg in 1,470 lots.

Marketmen attributed the marginally rise in copper futures to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
