Select base metals, copper and nickel, regained strength to trade higher up to Rs 10 per kg in the wholesale local non-ferrous metals market today on pick up in demand from consuming industries.
Sentiment turned slightly better on pick up in demand from consuming industries. However, weak trend in Asia on Japan's weaker-than- expected factory data, restricted gains.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 3 each to Rs 364, Rs 383 and Rs 347 per kg, respectively. Nickel plate 4x4 traded Rs 10 higher at Rs 900-1,014 per kg, respectively on the back of pick up in demand from alloy makers.
