Buoyed by a firming trend overseas and a pick-up in demand in the domestic market, copper futures prices rose by 0.82% to Rs 387.25 per kg today.
Trading sentiments improved after industrial metals strengthened for the third straight day at the London Metal Exchange, traders said.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, February copper rose by Rs 3.20, or 0.82%, to Rs 394.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 317 lots.
The November delivery moved up by Rs 2.90, or 0.74%, to Rs 388.90 per kg, with a trading volume of 3,918 lots.
