Copper futures slipped by Rs 2.30, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 358.15 per kg today, as speculators booked profits amid weak trend at the London Metal Exchange.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November contract eased by Rs 2.30, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 358.15 per kg, with a turnover of 5,354 lots. It ended 0.30 per cent lower at Rs 360.45 per kg in the previous session.
The metal for delivery in February lost Rs 2.10, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 360.35 per kg, with a business volume of 397 lots.
Analysts said profit booking by speculators and weakness in the metal at the London Metal Exchange, put pressure on the copper futures here.
Meanwhile, the three-month copper delivery was trading 1.06 per cent lower, at $7,636 a tonne in early trade at the London Metal Exchange.
