Copra edible declines on sluggish demand

Copra edible prices declined in an otherwise steady spices market here today owing to subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid lower export offtake. 

Copra edible Mumbai dipped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,900 from its overnight closing level of Rs 8,000.  

Following are today's closing rates in Rs with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 295/325 (295/325), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 205 (205), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,000 (7,000)

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,825 (6,825), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,300 (9,300) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,900 (8,000)
