Copra Rajapur, Alapuzha drops on sluggish demand

gingerCopra Rajapur and copra Alapuzha prices dropped at the spices market here today due to subdued stockists as well as retail demand on the back increased arrivals from producing regions.   

While, copra edible edged higher on the back of fresh offtake.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,100 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 9,200 and copra office Alapuzha slipped by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,900 as against Rs 6,950 yesterday.

However, copra edible Mumbai gained Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 7,900 as compared to Rs 7,850 previously.

Rest of all other spices closed unaltered owing to lack of worthwhile buying activity.

 

Following are today's closing rates in Rs with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 290/320 (290/320), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 205 (205), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,900 (6,950)

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,750 (6,750), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,100 (9,200) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,900 (7,850)
