Copra Rajapur prices fell sharply in the spices market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and traders coupled with lower export off-take, while copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode firmed up on fresh retail buying.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai dropped by Rs 250 per quintal to Rs 9,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 9,250. However, copra office Alapuzha gained Rs 50 to Rs 7,050 from Rs 7,000 yesterday.

Also, copra office Kozhikode increased by the same amount to Rs 6,950 as against Rs 6,900 yesterday.

Rest all other spices maintained a steady trend in the absence of worthwhile buying activity.
