Copra rises in thin trade

In restricted activity, copra prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale dry fruits market today on pick-up in demand along with higher advices from southern region.

Elsewhere, other dry-fruit prices continued to trade in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Market analysts said pick-up in demand and higher advices from Southern region mainly pushed up copra prices. In the national capital, copra prices rose by Rs 100 to Rs 7,700-7,900 per quintal.
