Copra soften on subdued demand

In an otherwise steady wholesale dry fruits market, copra prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal on subdued demand.

Elsewhere, prices continued to trade in a tight range on lack of worthwhile buying activity and settled around previous levels.

Market analysts said subdued demand against adequate stocks position helped copra prices to move down.

Copra declined by Rs 100 to 7,700-7,800 per quintal.
