Cottonseed prices gained Rs 9 to Rs 1,090 per quintal in futures trade today following fresh buying by traders.
Market analysts said low levels buying by traders supported the uptrend in the cottonseed oilcake prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake prices for delivery in May inched up by Rs 9, or 0.83% to Rs 1,090 per quintal, with an open interest of 91,610 lots.
Its prices for delivery in June also moved up by Rs 9, or 0.81% to Rs 1,125 per quintal, with an open interest of 45,700 lots.
