Crude oil futures down 0.3% on weak Asian cues

Trading sentiment turned weak after crude oil eased in Asian trade

Crude oil futures for May fell by Rs 13 or 0.27%, to Rs 4,821 per barrel in 7,139 lots.     

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract moved down by similar margin to Rs 4,856 per barrel in 363 lots.

Prices fell as speculators trimmed positions.

Trading sentiment turned weak after crude oil eased in Asian trade as data showing weak Chinese manufacturing activity fuelled concerns over demand in the world's second-largest economy.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the June contract shed 43 cents to $88.76 a barrel.
