Crude oil prices fell by 0.33% in futures trade today even as it strengthened in global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in June lost Rs 15, or 0.33% to Rs 4,476 per barrel, with a business turnover of 28 lots.
Similarly, the crude oil for delivery in July declined by Rs 15, or 0.33%, to Rs 4,523 per barrel, with a business turnover of just two lots.
Analysts said offloading by speculators, led to a fall in crude oil prices at futures trade here but recovery in Asian trade, capped the losses.
Meanwhile, crude for July delivery advanced 38 cents to $99.31 a barrel in the Asian trade.
