Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude oil prices today fell by 0.87% to Rs 5,251 per barrel, after speculators reduced exposures amid weak trend in Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract fell by Rs 46, or, 0.87%, to Rs 5,251 per barrel in 13,008 lots.

The July contract moved down by Rs 43, or, 0.81%, to Rs 5,279 per barrel in a turnover of 1,073 lots.

The trading sentiment turned weak at futures trade as crude extended its losses in Asian trade on a stronger dollar, after the US Federal Reserve hinted that it could ease its massive stimulus policy soon, analysts said.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the July contract dropped 58 cents to $93.70 a barrel.
