Crude oil futures prices today fell by 0.11% to Rs 4,746 per barrel as speculators trimmed positions amid a weak trend in the Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July shed Rs 5, or 0.11%, to Rs 4,746 per barrel, having a business volume of 9,928 lots.

August crude lost Rs 4, or 0.10%, to Rs 4,789 per barrel, in a turnover of 596 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in crude oil futures prices was mostly attributed to a weakening trend in Asian trade.

Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in July, which expires today, was down 12 cents to $83.91 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
