Crude oil futures down on weak Asian cues

November contract moved down by Rs 25, or 0.51%, to Rs 4,872 per barrel, with a turnover of 1,166 lots

Crude oil futures declined by 0.53% to Rs 4,836 per barrel today in line with a weak trend in Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the October contract for crude oil shed Rs 26, or 0.53%, to Rs 4,836 per barrel, with a business volume of 7,580 lots.

The November contract moved down by Rs 25, or 0.51%, to Rs 4,872 per barrel, with a turnover of 1,166 lots.

Market analysts said the fall in crude oil futures prices was in line with a weakening trend in Asia after the International Energy Agency (IEA) cut its global crude demand growth forecast for this year and next and data showed rising US stockpiles

Meanwhile, the November contract for crude oil was down 72 cents to $91.14 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
