Crude oil prices fell by 0.58% in futures trade today, tracking a weak global trend, where oil dipped below $99 a barrel.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in May lost Rs 26, or 0.58% to Rs 4,441 per barrel, with a business turnover of 13 lots.
Similarly, the crude oil for delivery in June declined by Rs 26, or 0.58% to Rs 4,493 per barrel, with a business turnover of 13 lots.
Trading sentiments turned weak as oil for delivery in June shed 84 cent to $98.81 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange on the back of a strengthening dollar.
