Crude oil prices rose by 0.14% to Rs 4,450 per barrel in futures trade today after it recovered in Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in March rose by Rs 6, or 0.14%, to Rs 4,450 per barrel, with a business turnover of 2,910 lots.

In a similar manner, oil for delivery in April also moved up by Rs 6, or 0.13%, to Rs 4,523 per barrel, clocking a business volume of 400 lots.

Analysts said the oil futures prices moved up in Asian trade mainly supported by a rise in oil futures prices here, however, worries over Japan's nuclear crisis restricted the gains.

Meanwhile, crude oil recovered by 0.60 cents to $98.58 per barrel in Asian trade.
