Crude oil prices rose by Rs 21, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 3,492 per barrel in futures trading today, as traders created fresh positions followed by a firming global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, crude oil for September contract rose by Rs 21, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 3,492 per barrel, with an open interest of 542 lots.
