Crude oil prices gained Rs 6 to Rs 4,106 per barrel in futures trading today, as speculators created fresh positions on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, crude oil for January-month gained Rs 6, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 4,106 per barrel, with a business turnover of 90 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in February-month held steady at Rs 4,159.00 per barrel, with a business turnover of eight lots.

Market experts said fresh buying by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market led to a rise in crude oil futures prices.
