In range-bound trading, crude oil prices rose by 19 to Rs 3,648 per barrel in futures trade today on pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for August month rose by Rs 19 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 3,648 per barrel, with an open interest of 74 lots.

However, the oil for delivery in September month held steady at Rs 3,607 per barrel in 3 lots.

Market analysts said fresh buying by speculators, driven by pick up in demand in spot markets pushed up crude oil prices at futrues trade.
