Crude palm oil prices traded lower by Rs 1.20, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 361.50 per 10 kg in futures trading today on fresh selling by traders, influenced by a weakening global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, crude palm oil for July contract declined by Rs 1.20, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 361.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,586 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August contract traded marginally lower by Rs 0.50, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 359.10 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,548 lots.

Market analysts said fresh selling by traders, influenced by a weakening global trend, led to a fall in crude palm oil prices at futures trade here.

Meanwhile, palm oil futures for September delivery fell by 0.4 per cent to $722 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange, the lowest price since November 13.
