Crude palm oil falls by 0.8% on profit-booking

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude palm oil futures prices eased by 0.81% to Rs 390.20 per 10 kg today after speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid subdued spot demand.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September declined Rs 3.20, or 0.81%, to Rs 390.20 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 206 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October fell Rs 3.20, or 0.81%, to Rs 391.40 per 10 kg in 258 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, subdued demand in the spot market and a weak trend overseas kept pressure on crude palm oil futures prices.
