Crude palm oil futures dip by 0.56% on poor global cues

Amid weak trend in overseas markets, crude palm oil prices dropped by Rs 2.30, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 412 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, crude palm oil for November delivery fell by Rs 2.30, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 412 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 324 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in September also traded lower by Rs 2, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 420 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 2,311 lots.

Market analysts said besides weakening trend at global markets, sluggish demand in the spot market, also weighed on the crude palm oil prices at futures market here.

 

Meanwhile, palm oil futures for the November delivery contract shed 1.6 per cent to $848 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange counter.
