Crude palm oil futures prices today rose for the second straight day by adding Rs 3.90 to Rs 548.60 per 10 kg, as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by a rising demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, January crude palm oil moved up by Rs 3.90, or 0.72%, to Rs 548.60 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 156 lots.

The December delivery eged up by Rs 3.20, or 0.59%, to Rs 544.80 per 10 kg in 88 lots.

Market analysts said rising demand in the spot market against limited arrivals from producing regions mainly helped crude palm oil futures to strengthen at futures market here.
