Crude palm oil prices gained Rs 1.10 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 363.70 per 10 kg in futures trade today on fresh buying by traders, influenced by a firming global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, crude palm oil for August contract gained Rs 1.10 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 363.70 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 781 lots.
However, the oil for delivery in June contract held steady at Rs 367.50 per 10 kg, with a business volume of 1,649 lots.
Marketmen said fresh buying by traders in tandem with a firming global trend led to a rise in crude palm oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil for August delivery rose 0.7 per cent to $736 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
