Crude palm oil prices weakened by Rs 2.50 to Rs 593.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today owing to slackness in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for April declined by Rs 2.50, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 593.40 per 10 kg, with a business volume of single lot.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February contract shed Rs 1.90, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 587 per 10 kg, with a business volume of one lot.
Traders said slackness in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks helped crude palm oil futures prices to trade lower.
