Crude palm oil prices gained Rs 1.30, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 365.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today on short covering by speculators and pick up in demand at spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for May contract gained Rs 1.30, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 365.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,942 lots.
The oil for delivery in June contract also traded slightly higher by Rs 0.60, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 365 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 2,074 lots.
Marketmen said short covering by speculators and pick up in demand at spot markets helped crude palm oil prices to show a marginal improvement at futures market.
