Crude palm oil prices traded marginally lower by 0.02% to Rs 481.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions on sluggish spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for September delivery traded marginally lower by 10 paise, or 0.02%, to Rs 481.60 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 66 lots.

However, the oil for August delivery held steady at Rs 485.70 per 10 kg, with an open interest of two lots. Market analysts said as speculators reduced their positions due to a weak spot market trend on sluggish demand, mainly pulled down prices.
