Crude palm oil prices rose marginally by Rs 1.90, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 411 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on hopes of pick up in spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, crude palm oil for October contract rose by Rs 1.90, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 411 per 10 kg with a trading volume of 66 lots, while September month contract gained by Rs 1.80, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 416.10 per 10 kg in 57 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in current month contract moved up by Rs 1.70, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 418.30 per 10 kg with business volume of 11 lots.

Analysts said fresh buying by speculators on hopes of pick up in spot market demand led to rise in crude palm oil at futures market.
