Crude palm oil rises on global cues

Fresh positions by speculators supported the trade

Crude palm oil futures for February rose by Rs 2.80, or 0.64%, to Rs 441.70 per 10 kg in 11 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the January contract edged up by Rs 2.70, or 0.63%, to Rs 433.40 per 10 kg in 457 lots.

Fresh positions by speculators, firm global trend supported the crude palm oil futures.

On the Malaysia Derivatives ExchangeThe, the March contract climbed 1.4% to $ 796 a tonne, the biggest gain since January 2.
