Crude palm oil softens 0.34% on low demand

Speculators trim holdings on adequate stock position

Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.34 per cent to Rs 563 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their holdings due to low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
    
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in December softened by Rs 1.90, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 563 per 10 kg in business turnover of 117 lots.
    
The November contract weakened by Rs 1.10, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 558.40 per 10 kg in 31 lots.
    
Analysts said speculators reduced their holdings on low demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position which influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
