D-Mart m-cap tops Rs 2.5 trillion-mark; stock soars 1,200% from issue price

Avenue Supermarts, the owner of D-Mart chain of retail stores, added another feather to its cap when its market capitalisation (m-cap) crossed Rs 2.5 trillion-mark on the BSE on Thursday. The feat came after shares of the company hit fresh record peak in the intra-day deals.

The stock of the departmental stores' chain hit a new high of Rs 3,888, up 3 per cent on the BSE in the intra-day trade today, commanding a m-cap of Rs 2.52 trillion. On Wednesday, Avenue Supermarts’ market-cap stood at Rs 2.45 trillion.

With this, Avenue Supermarts currently stands at 15th position
