Delhi govt contract boosts Aptech

Information technology education company Aptech surged 3.45 per cent on Wednesday after the company announced the bagging of a contract from the Delhi government to provide software training to 696 schools in the national capital region.
 
The stock, in Wednesday' trading, hit an intra-day high of Rs 42 before closing at Rs 40.65. The counter witnessed an impressive volume of more than 79,000 shares on the BSE. The four-year deal is worth Rs 88.73 crore from the Delhi government. Before Wednesday's spurt, the stock has traded in the narrow range of late.
 
In October 2004, Aptech inked a tie-up with the Seoul-based South Korean firm BIT Computer Co to jointly offer software training programmes to engineers in South Korea, and drives substantial revenues from its overseas operations. The company has a strong focus on industry-related training and introduction of customised courses.
