Delta Corp has rallied 7% to Rs 195, also its record high on BSE, after the company reported around eight-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 (Q2FY17). The company engaged in the gaming and hospitality segment had posted a profit of Rs 4 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Total operational income during the quarter under review increased by 44% at Rs 134 crore as compared to Rs 93 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margin improved to 42.2% from 33.3%.
For the first six-months (April to September) of FY17, Delta Corp has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 52.32 crore against Rs 3 crore in the same period of FY16.
The trading volumes on the counter nearly doubled with a combined 10.99 million shares changed hands on BSE and NSE till 11:39 am.
