Dewan Housing Finance zooms on heavy volumes

A combined 7.32 million shares representing 9% of free-float equity of the company change hands till 1445 on BSE and NSE.

Shares of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation has zoomed over 15% to Rs 150 on back of heavy volumes on the bourses. According to market sources a multiple block deals happened on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 132 and touched a low of Rs 130 in early morning deals on BSE. A combined 7.32 million shares representing over 9% of free-float equity of the company change hands till 1445 on both the exchanges.

Meanwhile, the stock has outperformed the market by surging 43% so far in October compared to nearly 8% rise in benchmark index.
