Dow down 32pts; ADRs mixed

The Dow Jones industrial average index slipped 32 points to 11986. The Nasdaq was down three points at 2331.

Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. Dr.Reddy's gained 3.4% at $17.41. VSNL moved up 2.4% to $19.82, and HDFC Bank added 1.5% to $69.27. Patni Computers slipped nearly 2% to $19.28. Infosys, Satyam and MTNL were down around 1.5% each to $50.85, $21.09 and $6.25, respectively.
