The Dow Industrial Average index surged 247 points to 8,727. The Nasdaq rallied 67 points to 1,532.
Indian ADRs, too, ended with smart gains. Tata Communications surged nearly 7% to $16.62. Infosys, Sterlite, Patni Computers, Wipro and Dr.Reddy's gained 4-6% each at $24.31, $4.72, $6.06, $7.47 and $8.90, respectively. ICICI Bank, however, slipped over 3% to $13.21.
