The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 33 points to 11,221. The Nasdaq was down three points at 2,256.
Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. ICICI Bank rallied 3.5% to $31.71. Genpact, Strelite and Tata Motors advanced over 1% each to $13.77, $13 and $9.38, respectively. On the other hand, Wipro slipped nearly 2% to $11.28, and MTNL shed 1.5% at $4.43. Patni Computers and Tata Communications were down over 1% each at $10.30 and $18.89, respectively.
