Dow gains 53pts; ADR drop

The Dow Jones industrial average moved up 53 points to 12,774. The Nasdaq was down a point at 2517.

Indian ADRs ended mostly in red. Patni Computers dropped 3.4% to $25.10. Satyam, MTNL, VSNL and Tata Motors declined 1-2% each to $24.37, $7.49, $21.01 and $17.56, respectively.
