Dow gains 83pts, Infosys up 1.4%

US stocks rose on Friday on expectations that Federal Reserve may pause in its campaign to raise interest rates, and oil companies would benefit due to high prices.

While the Dow was up 83 points at 10,678, the Nasdaq Composite was up nine points at 2,175.

Indian ADRs largely finished with gains. Infosys was up 1.4% at $73.67. Satyam also gained 1.4% to $28.71. Wipro, Dr. Reddy's, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank also moved up. Tata Motors was down a per cent at $11.48.
