Dow gains as Dubai debt woes eases

US markets rose on Monday, helping the Dow post its fifth straight monthly gain, on hopes that possible fallout from Dubai's debt woes will be contained.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 35 points to end at 10,344. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up six points at 2,144.60.

The Indian ADRs ended on a mixed note. MTNL soared 6.5% to $3.24 and Tata Motors has advanced 4.5% to $14.32, respectively.

Sterlite and ICICI Bank added 2% each at $18.36 and $37.2, respectively.

Genpact on the other hand slipped 3.5% to $12.98. Wipro and Patni Computers slipped 1.5% each at $20 and $19.17, respectively.
