The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 110 points to 11,533. The Nasdaq was down two points at 2,429.
The Indian ADRs, however, ended on a mixed note. Sterlite surged 3.6% to $14.94. Genpact and MTNL moved up around 1.5% each to $14.85 and $5.27, respectively.
On the other hand, HDFC Bank shed 4% at $84.70. Tata Motors dropped 2.8% to $9.84, and Patni Computers slipped 2.4% to $10.65. ICICI Bank and Dr.Reddy's declined 2% each to $32.09 and $14.16, respectively.
