After crumbling sharply on Monday, US markets rallied sharply yesterday on reports of inflation jitters tapering off. While the Dow Jones advanced 64 points to 10,830, the Nasdaq gained 19 points to close at 2,071.

Indian ADRs, however, exhibited weakness and ended at lower levels. Satyam dropped 3.61% to $23.51. While Wipro slipped a per cent to $21.55, Infosys ended marginally lower at $76.15.

Tata Motors lost 2.21% to $10.64. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and VSNL ended with marginal losses. Dr. Reddy's, however, was the sole gainer and finished up a tad at $17.63.
