Dow zooms 95pts, ICICI Bank gains 5%

US stocks rallied sharply on Thursday as several companies, including McDonald's, reported earnings that topped estimates.

While the Dow gained 95 points to a record close of 11,948, the Nasdaq Composite rose 38 points to c2,346. The Nasdaq is now only about 29 points within reach of its 2006 high of 2,375.54 hit on April 20.

Indian ADRs, too, logged gains on Wall Street yesterday. ICICI Bank gained nearly 5% to $32.34. Infy zoomed over 3% to $51.41. Satyam advanced over 4% to $42.99. Wipro and Tata Motors also finished with gains.
