DOWNMOVE CONTINUES... Sensex down 241pts

The Sensex is now down 241 points at 11,678.

Hindalco has plunged 4.3% to Rs 176, and Tata Steel has shed nearly 4% to Rs 505.

Reliance Energy has tumbled nearly 4% to Rs 469. HLL has slipped 3.5% to Rs 232.

HDFC Bank and Tata Motors have declined over 3% each to Rs 822 and Rs 870, respectively.

Cipla and TCS are down nearly 2% each to Rs 250 and Rs 965, respectively.

Hero Honda has advanced 2% to Rs 751.

Out of 2,522 stocks traded so far, 1,728 have declined, 728 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
