DQ Entertainment lists with 69% premium

Animation and gaming company DQ Entertainment (International) today opened with a premium of nearly 69 per cent at Rs 135 on the BSE over its issue price.

Shares of DQ Entertainment, after opening firm on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), jumped 75 per cent over their issue price of Rs 80 to a high of Rs 140 from previous close.

A total of 42.93 lakh shares of DQ Entertainment changed hands on the BSE in opening trade.

The company has listed with 7.92 crore shares on the BSE.

It has proposed to utilise net proceeds of Rs 128 crore, raised from its initial public offer (IPO), to part fund general corporate expenditures, besides those for business expansion.

 

DQ Entertainment (International) Ltd and DQ Entertainment Plc is a fully integrated, broad-based group, engaged in the creation, production, distribution, licensing and marketing of all forms of entertainment content.

It has the largest animation production capacity for television, feature films, home video, online game art, mobile and next generation console games across all formats as well as visual effects.

DQE has also forayed into live-action and production and distribution of feature films.
